The course of the disease may be very mild, without symptoms or accompanied by few symptoms, such as fever, chills, headache, muscle pain, vomiting, and slowed heart rate, and may be cured after a few days.
However, it may also cause bleeding from body orifices, bleeding into skin and organs. After liver and kidney damage, it can easily lead to blood poisoning and further to encephalitis.
Therapy: In simple courses, symptom relief with paracetamol; however, in case of complications, intensive medical treatment in hospital is necessary.
