As a rule, our urinary tract is free of foreign viruses and bacteria; however, pathogens can enter from the outside through the urethra. If you experience symptoms such as frequent urination in small amounts (sphincter), a burning sensation when urinating, or blood in the urine, you should consult your doctor. This is because timely diagnosis and treatment is important to prevent a urinary tract infection from spreading to the kidneys or additionally to the bloodstream.
