Chronic ischemic heart disease (reduced blood flow) is also known as coronary heart disease, which is most often caused by arteriosclerosis.
Here, a narrowing of the cross-section of the coronary vessels occurs as a result of deposits on the inner walls of the coronary vessels. This leads to a lack of oxygen supply to the heart muscle.
Common symptoms may include: Shortness of breath, heart and chest tightness, sweating, fatigue and decreased performance, and arrhythmias.
